General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems Nears Completion of Solid Rocket Motor Manufacturing Campus

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GDOTS), a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), announced it is nearing completion of its new solid rocket motor manufacturing campus in Camden, Arkansas, representing a significant investment in expanding domestic propulsion capacity to meet growing demand for critical national defense programs.

Designed to support the production of a variety of solid rocket motors, the state-of-the-art campus will provide flexible, scalable manufacturing capability across multiple programs and customers. The facility brings together the infrastructure, advanced manufacturing processes, automation equipment, and workforce needed to produce solid rocket motors at scale while supporting increased production requirements as demand continues to grow.

GDOTS is already demonstrating progress in advancing its solid rocket motor capabilities through the successful production and static firing of solid rocket motors. These firings provide valuable validation of motor performance and manufacturing processes as the company continues to mature its production capabilities and prepares the Camden campus for operational readiness.

The Camden campus reflects GDOTS’ broader investment in strengthening the U.S. defense industrial base and addressing the nation’s need for increased propulsion manufacturing capacity. By developing a campus designed around core solid rocket motor capabilities rather than a single program, GDOTS is establishing a flexible production environment capable of supporting a range of current and future customer requirements.
